JetClay Academy Workshop – 3D ceramic printing in Ilmenau

Ilmenau has a long tradition of ceramic production. The JetClay Academy workshop gives you the opportunity to combine this tradition with modern technology and work with a 3D ceramic printer yourself.

The workshop will take place on three dates from March 20 to 28, 2026 and will take you step by step from the introduction to the finished ceramic print. You will learn the technical basics of 3D printing with clay as well as practical work steps such as preparing the material, setting up the machines and post-processing the prints.

During the workshop, you will work hands-on with a clay 3D printer, learn basic ceramic techniques and meet the members of the KuKo e.V. ceramics group. The aim is to enable you to operate the printers independently and create your own ceramic objects.
