Klezmer, World, Jazz, own music

Jezmer – that’s Detlef Rinke (guitar), Klaus Wegener (clarinet, saxophone) and Kalle Schmied (percussion).
The name “Jezmer” was created as a play on words from the terms “jazz” and “klezmer”. Just like the name, their music combines elements of jazz, klezmer and Latin American music. All three styles have a strong expressiveness in common. Alongside ecstatic joy is deep despair, alongside tenderness and sensuality is aggression and anger. With the music of “Jezmer”, listeners experience a rollercoaster of emotions.
