About Daniel Benyamin
We are looking forward to presenting Daniel Benyamin to you. Over 2000 concerts in 35 countries with his bands SEA + AIR and JUMBO JET, as drummer for San Francisco noise legend LAZY GIANTS and bassist for THE STROKES producer Gordon Raphael, tours with various artists such as Sufjan Stevens, Whitney Houston and Jose Gonzales, thousands of albums sold, 400 songs written and various film soundtracks from arte to Tatort and a Top 50 album later, Daniel Benyamin is venturing a new start as a solo artist.
His greatest success is that he reflects himself completely in his music and gives the listener an unadulterated picture. He follows the musical call of his soul, detached from mainstream and expectations.
In this reinvention, which was given a new dimension by the 2020 lockdown, he consistently developed the self-invented genre of “ghost pop” further.
He is currently working on his second solo album, which is much more minimalist and deals musically with the soundtracks he has composed for film, dance and theater over the past decades. To further develop the new songs in front of an audience, he occasionally performs live and presents his own mixture of catchy pop songs, atmospheric cascades of sound and classical music.
