Guitarist Helmut “Joe” Sachse, who lives in Chemnitz, began his career in the GDR.
Early on, he performed in various groups led by jazz legend Manfred Schulze.
In the 1970s, he founded his own quintet “Osiris”.
As a solo artist, Sachse has enjoyed cult status for decades and is regarded as one of Germany’s leading jazz musicians.
He is now 75 years old (* October 28, 1948).
He amazes even seasoned guitarists and thrills audiences: guitarist Helmut “Joe” Sachse, a vibrant free spirit full of rousing energy.
