The fire dance group there are six musicians from Ilmenau and the surrounding area. Above all, we make folklore music & folklore with an understanding in which it is original, powerful and full of life. But sometimes also modern. The songs tell of life, of life in the past and of people who lack the most essential things, of vagabonds, tramps, craftsmen. Or from hiking, from love, from partying and from people’s longings. Our instrumental pieces come from Germany or elsewhere in Europe. Some pieces have also been composed and written by myself.
We play and make music on stages, at concerts, in the open air and in not too large halls, in restaurants and pubs, on streets and squares, in castles and palaces, in short: wherever people come together who are open and curious.
