Film Leben Festival – the first short film festival in Ilmenau was launched for the first time from July 5th to 8th, 2012.
It is organized by students from the AG Film des Kulturelle Coordination eV at the TU Ilmenau.
Ilmenau lives a long weekend under the sign of the film and presents itself as a special media location in Germany through the unique combination of nature, culture and technology.
Out of the dusty, dark cinemas and into the green urban culture of Ilmenau is the motto.
Films of various genres are shown in an enchanted natural setting at numerous stations throughout the city, lake stages, old, green-clad house barracks or open-air stages in the middle of the city park.
