The Cultural Coordination Association, KuKo for short, is home to a wide variety of people interested in culture in the university town of Ilmenau and the region.
The association was founded in 1991 as a cultural organization of the Ilmenau University of Applied Sciences and has been the point of contact for those interested in culture in the Ilmenau region ever since. The non-profit association has a total of over 200 members, who are divided into more than 15 active working groups and 3 clubs.
His work focuses on a variety of areas: from the almost daily entertainment and education offerings to larger events. The association aims to broaden the cultural spectrum of the entire region. KuKo has also set itself the goal of encouraging more people to get involved in culture.
The integration of different cultures and people from all backgrounds also plays an important role. These should be brought into focus for everyone, be tangible and perceptible. Creativity can be expressed in the painting and graphics group, in the ceramics or photography group, in theater activities or in juggling.
